Woke Team USA Olympians DISRESPECT The FLAG, Then THIS HAPPENED …
As eyes across the globe are fixed on Milan for the Winter Olympics, we’re being afforded yet another reminder of why going woke always means going broke. It literally happens every Olympics. The rapidly dwindling legacy media sets up young dumb athletes to confess to the world how ashamed they are of America given who’s in the White House.
And they’re utterly stupefied to find out these athletes that the entire country turns on them whenever they bash our nation abroad. It’s the same playbook over and over. Get woke on camera, go viral for all the wrong reasons, and then blow up any possibility of leveraging your Olympic success once you come home.
And right now at the Winter Olympics in Milan, a handful of American athletes are learning that lesson the hard way. Because when they open their mouths and they trash this country on the world stage, the president of the United States fires back. And he did not miss.
Hey gang, IT’S ME, DR. STEVE, your patriot professor, celebrating yet another day in Trump’s golden age that you made possible back in November of 2024. So if you want a front row seat on how you continue to change the world in ways you never even imagined, make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button.
Meet American freestyle skier Hunter Hess. Now, if you’ve never heard of him before, you’re not alone. And you certainly will not be hearing from him again. Not after he said this.
“It brings up mixed emotions to represent the US right now. I think it’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of and I think a lot of people aren’t. If it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I’m representing it. Just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the US. So yeah, I just kind of want to do it for my friends and my family and the people that support me getting here.”
Just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the United States. Yes you do. Yes, you do, Hunter. It’s called representing your country. Again, I know you’re a little young. Your brain’s still developing here, but this has got nothing to do with your feelings. It’s got nothing to do with your subjective sentiments or aligning whatever is happening here with your own personal moral values.
You are on a national Olympic team representing your nation abroad. You weren’t selected because of your political opinions. You weren’t chosen because of your feelings. You were chosen because you’re supposed to be the best this country has to offer. And right now, standing on the world stage, you are America. That’s the deal. That’s what you signed up for.
Virtually every athlete who’s ever worn those three letters, USA, seems to have understood that the flag is bigger than you. The flag is bigger than any president, bigger than any policy you happen to agree or disagree with. You don’t get to put on the uniform, collect the funding, fly on a chartered plane, march in the opening ceremony, and then turn around and bash us. You don’t get to turn around and tell the world, “Oh, I’m not really with them.” That’s not how this works.
Mike Eruzione understood it in 1980. Jesse Owens understood it in 1936. Every gold star family in this country understands it right now. The flag isn’t a buffet where you get to cherry-pick the parts you like. You carry it or you hand it to someone who will. It’s called character. It’s called integrity. It’s called loyalty.
And Hunter certainly got called out by none other than the president himself. He took to Truth Social and Trump wrote, “US Olympic skier Hunter Hess, a real loser, says he doesn’t represent his country in the current Winter Olympics. If that’s the case, he shouldn’t have tried out for the team. And it’s too bad he’s on it. Very hard to root for someone like this. Make America great again.”
And Trump wasn’t alone. I mentioned the Miracle on Ice legend Mike Eruzione, the man who captained the 1980 US hockey team that defeated the Soviet Union during the Cold War. He wasn’t having any of this either. He ripped into Hess writing, “Then don’t put on the USA uniform. Maybe just put on a family and friends uniform. Some athletes just don’t get it.”
And if anyone had a right to distance himself from his country at the time, it would have been Mike. We had an utter incompetent imbecile in the White House, Jimmy Carter. We had over 50 American citizens being held hostage in Iran. We had double-digit inflation. We had the Soviet Union staring us down. But he knew that representing his nation was bigger than all of that.
And so what did Mike and that young American hockey team do? They laced up their skates. They put on the stars and stripes. And they pulled off the greatest upset in sports history. They didn’t whine about their mixed emotions. They lifted a nation. That’s what you’re supposed to do.
And another Mike chimed in, Senator Mike Lee. He added, “If you can’t stand for your country abroad, at the Olympics or anywhere, stay home.” That was in response to this nonsense coming out of the mouth of Chris Lillis.
“I feel heartbroken about what’s happened in the United States when I’m pretty sure you’re referencing ICE and some of the protests and things like that. I think that as a country, we need to focus on respecting everybody’s rights and making sure that we’re treating our citizens as well as anybody with love and respect. And I hope that when people look at athletes compete in the Olympics, they realize that that’s the America that we’re trying to represent.”
Yeah. What’s heartbreaking is how stupid you are to think that going woke somehow works to your advantage in the age of MAGA. Hunter, Chris, this isn’t 2020 anymore, guys. It’s not an auto pen napping in the White House right now. The world is changing and it’s becoming more nationalist, populist, traditionalist, everything you’re not.
But I’m going to be honest with you. Seriously, I think these activist athletes are just pawns. They’re useful idiots in a far more sinister game that’s being played here by far more nefarious actors. And I’m going to show you how President Trump has already announced checkmate.
Did you know that Alzheimer’s isn’t waiting for old age anymore? It’s spreading. It’s accelerating and it’s showing up decades earlier. Early onset dementia and Alzheimer’s are on the rise. Reports show a 373% increase in diagnosis among 30 to 44 year olds and a 311% increase in 45 to 54 year olds in the United States in recent years.
But when doctors attempt to treat these brain diseases, they often focus on medicating the brain itself, addressing symptoms like a band-aid rather than solving the root cause. Alzheimer’s disease is driven by chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, which damages brain cells and triggers the buildup of toxic proteins. These same destructive processes fuel neurodegeneration, cognitive decline, and even increase cancer risk. Yet they’re rarely the primary target of treatment.
The root cause of many brain disorders is found in the gut microbiome. Groundbreaking research now links gut bacteria directly to Alzheimer’s disease and shows that what we consume plays a defining role in not just cognitive but overall health as well.
Numerous studies suggest that the number one thing you can do to combat these chronic diseases is to consume kimchi. There are so many bioactive compounds in kimchi that have been found to improve cognitive and memory function by targeting amyloid beta, the main sign of Alzheimer’s disease that forms those sticky plaques in the brain. Notably, these same protective mechanisms are linked to reduced cancer risk with kimchi’s ability to suppress carcinogen-activating enzymes.
That’s why Brightcore created Kimchi One. It delivers all the benefits of real kimchi in convenient capsules. No taste, no smell, and no GMO. 100% made right here in the United States. Before the games even started, the progressive sycophants in the legacy media already had the narrative preloaded. Politico published an entire piece complete with artist-rendered illustrations of Trump and Vance drawn up as comic book super villains, framing the Winter Olympics as the world’s chance to finally defeat the MAGA movement.
The progressives of Politico argued that foreign countries now have a moral imperative to defeat American athletes. They quoted a former Canadian politician saying that if Canada faces Team USA, it’s no longer a game, it’s life or death. All because they don’t like the president.
As far as Politico is concerned, they’re championing the global left trying to win on a ski slope what they already lost at the ballot box. Then came the pressure campaign aimed directly at American athletes. Every major legacy media outlet ran the same angle: Don’t you feel conflicted? Aren’t you uncomfortable wearing that flag while he’s in the White House?
A few young athletes walked right into the trap. They wanted the media adulation. They wanted to be depicted as courageous and historic, brave. But those are the same words the legacy media always uses right before they ruin someone’s life.
The legacy media right now is in an economic freefall. The Washington Post fired over 300 journalists in a single morning, a full third of their staff. They eliminated their entire sports section, shut down the books section, slashed the metro desk, gutted their international bureaus, and axed their Silicon Valley team from 80 reporters down to barely 30. Their CEO resigned days later.
Why? Because the Washington Post has lost 90% of its daily online audience in just four years, plummeting from 22.5 million daily users in 2021 to barely two and a half million by 2024. Two straight years of over a hundred million dollars in losses.
MSNBC lost 25% of their total viewers in 2025 and 40% of its key advertising demographic. CNN dropped 16% in total prime time viewers and 31% in that key demo. NBC laid off 150 employees, 8% of their workforce.
These are the people whispering in Hunter Hess’s ear, telling him it’s brave to stand at a podium in Milan and announce he’s ashamed of his country. These are the outlets telling young athletes that hating America is their path to glory.
Trump knows the vast majority of the country is going to hear that woke nonsense coming from Olympic athletes and be repelled by it. But unfortunately for Hunter Hess, that’s the company he’s keeping. And if he’s not careful, he’s going to end up exactly where they have all ended up — forgotten by the very people who told him he was brave.
The elites who told these kids to get woke are the same elites that are going broke. And they’re taking every young person foolish enough to listen down with them. As it turns out, that may be the real lesson of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
